What we look at?

If we build the site, we can already see from the project how much capacity it needs.

First we look at how much storage the site takes up: code, images, uploads and the database combined. A brochure site typically needs anywhere from a few hundred megabytes to a few gigabytes. A larger gallery, lots of product photos, or content that builds up over the years can quickly increase storage needs.

For custom systems we also look at how much data is generated in day-to-day use. Orders, customer records, documents, logs and uploaded files all consume storage. If storage needs keep growing, it's worth choosing a larger plan from the start. If usage later approaches the limit, we'll let you know early and recommend upgrading the plan.

Bandwidth use is usually low for typical websites, web apps and online shops. It becomes critical when streaming runs directly from the site, or when large files are served from your own server, for example product videos, catalogues or downloadable document packs.

Based on that, we choose the Starter, Business or Pro plan, and we adjust later if the project grows and needs a larger plan.

How our three plans fit real projects?

Starter (10 GB SSD, 100 GB bandwidth / month, 1 backup a day): enough for most company websites, portfolios and brochure sites. This is how we launch most of the company websites we build.
Business (50 GB SSD, unlimited bandwidth, 2 backups a day): the plan we typically recommend for small and mid-sized business systems, where there are more uploads, a larger image library, or more data already building up.
Pro (200 GB SSD, unlimited bandwidth, 3 backups a day): for larger business systems, or when larger files need to be stored and storage needs grow quickly.

What's included in every plan?

Free SSL is included in every plan: it encrypts the connection between the visitor and the site, and it underpins basic security. Daily backups and a 99.9% uptime guarantee are included as standard too.

The domain name is not part of the plan and must be purchased separately. We help with registration and setup free of charge.
